YMA Fashion Scholarship Fund 2019: Maxfield Milan
My winning 2019 YMA Fashion Scholarship Fund case. Winners were selected based off of a case analysis in which we designed a collection to be sold in an international market during the initial global expansion of a fashion retailer of our choice. I chose to design a collection for the suggested global expansion of Los Angeles based fashion retailer, Maxfield, to Milan, Italy.

Inspired by time spent in LA, I really wanted to evoke the same richness in color seen along PCH, in my collection. Californians really understand the dichotomy of an elegant, but casual aesthetic - I wanted that to be shown through my designs.

Maxfield Milan Color & Fabric Story
The colors featured in my collection are my pastel take on the most influential colors I experienced in LA. The fabrics intertwine elegance with casual, combining luxurious satins and classic leather textures.

With the growing popularity of Los Angeles’s casual-cool aesthetic, I designed a womenswear collection for Maxfield’s global expansion to milan in order to bring a little taste of the Californian bohemian elegance to one of the most classical, fashion capitals in the world.
