This dress was designed for my combined textile design and pattern making final Project. In pattern making, I used my skills to create the silhouette for the mini dress. I wanted to push myself by creating a double key-hole design, with a flare skirt. Throughout textile design, I found I loved shibori dyeing fabrics and I wanted to implement that in my creation. Inspired by the delicate notions of nature, i hand beaded flowers along the bands of the dress. The straps of the dress feature homegrown kombucha leather, acting as the petals of the flowers.
