Unravel: Underwater
Drawing inspiration from the playful brand, Unravel by Ben Taverniti, this knit top and denim bottoms were designed to mimick the same textures of ripples in water, changes in the value of color in the ocean and the combination of different fabrics. Unravel aims to defy what is classically known as luxury style, reimaging what is high quality, self-expression and timelessness. I wanted to emulate that same, unconventional, deconstrcuted luxury streetwear style in my designs. Using techniques such as layering and destressing denim, and threading varying knits to create volume, Unravel: Underwater conveys the timelessness of the shape and color of water.
