‘Desert Dream’ Block Printed Fabric
After carving my ‘desert dream’ design into a wood printing block, I methodically created a repeat pattern of the design on this shibori dyed cotton fabric.
Indigo Dyed Silk Scarf
Using indigo dye, I created this silk scarf with spiral patterns by wrapping bean stuffed sections of the fabric with string and dipping the fabric into the indigo vat.
Double Silk Screen Print
This yardage of fabric was printed on shibori dyed cotton fabric. using two silk screens with overlapping designs burned into them, I created a repeat pattern print.
Shibori Dyed Silk Shawl
Using draping techniques, I designed this floor length silk shawl with an off the shoulder silhouette. I wanted to emulate the light burst from the sun, so I spun the center of the fabric and carefully added dye to the silk.
